NORTH ADAMS -- United Neighborhood Organization was awarded a check for $1,000 from Wal-Mart as a matching grant for UNO's Spring Fling fundraiser that was held at the Eagle's Hall on May 24.

Lee Randall, community involvement associate at Wal-Mart, presented the check to Shirley Davis, UNO organizer, on Sept. 12.

This money will help UNO continue in the work they do in their neighborhood especially for their youth.

An upcoming trip, taking a group of children to Ioka Valley Farm in Hancock, is planned for Oct 25.

The UNO Steering Committee is meeting on Sept. 25 to plan a Christmas party and events for 2009. Information: Davis at 663-5516.
